(NAET) NAMBUDRIPAD'S ALLERGY ELIMINATION TECHNIQUE

I first qualified in 2004 as an ITEC massage therapist, then in October 2004 having been successfully treated for my own allergic symptoms, including Irritable Bowel Syndrome, chesty cough, sinusitis, brain fog and lethargy, I qualified as an accredited NAET practitioner. I have successfully treated many patients for a wide variety of allergy related illnesses. I have also treated pets and have cats, dogs and horses among my patients.
I use Nambudripad's Allergy Elimination Technique (NAET) to assess and treat your allergic symptoms. I combine this with testing for nutritional deficiencies, recommending dietary supplements where indicated.

What is NAET?
NAET is based on the principles of Chinese Medicine. Dr. Devi Nambudripad, a Chiropractor, Acupuncturist and Applied Kinesiologist developed the system in 1983 when searching for an answer to her own health problems. Since then she has trained practitioners from all over the world and many thousands of people have been successfully treated.
NAET is an effective, painless, non-invasive system which uses Applies Kinesiology (muscle response testing) to assess your allergies and intolerances. Acupressure (no needles) is then used to effectively re-educate the body and turn off the immune response causing the allergic symptoms. It is suitable for people of all ages from the new born to senior citizens.

Allergies and how NAET can help
Many people continue to think of allergies as a limited group of symptoms such as runny nose, sneezing, hives, asthma, hay fever, or occasionally a severe response such as anaphylactic shock. It is however increasingly recognised that allergic reactions are a factor in many illnesses and disorders.
Allergies are unusual sensitivities to certain substances. These cause an inappropriate immune response. Basically your body treats a harmless substance as a threat and responds accordingly.
Allergies may be triggered by many things, including repeated exposure to strong or toxic substances, traumatic events such as major surgery, anaesthetic, vaccinations, or emotional stresses such as loss of a loved one, marriage, childbirth, and moving house. They may also be inherited. Stress and anxiety can often make sufferers more sensitive to allergens and symptoms will worsen at this time.
What should you expect?
When you attend your initial allergy test, I will first take a comprehensive medical history to determine your symptoms and any obvious causes. I will then carry out an allergy test. All the common food groups and environmental items such as moulds, chemicals, perfumes, house dust, pollens and pesticides will be tested. I can also test for atmospheric conditions such as storms, cold, damp and barometric pressure. Bring your dietary supplements and medication along and I can also assess these.
Testing uses the principles of Applied Kinesiology or muscle response testing. You will usually lie down and I will ask you to hold allergen phials in your hand whilst testing muscle strength to determine allergies and intolerances. Small children are tested through a surrogate, usually a parent. This method of testing has been in use since the 1960s and is proven to be effective. Having established your problem items we can then work out which of the allergens are triggering your worst symptoms and which allergens it is most important for you to avoid in order to obtain relief from your symptoms.
At the end of the test I will give you a guide book containing details of your allergy test, advice on which allergens it would be best for you to avoid and alternatives to these allergens.
The next step is up to you, avoid the identified allergens or go ahead with treatment. One allergen or group of allergens is treated each time you come. Ideally treatments are given once or twice a week, however this is not essential, the result is the same if you come less often, it just takes longer to achieve. On your fist visit I can advise you on the likely number of treatments that will be needed.
